According to a brazilian blog(meio bit) the final version of Internet Explorer 8 will be launched today, 1h in the morning JST.
I am using in my machine the demo version, and I have only one problem with my Visual Studio 2003, it doesn't run in debug mode when more than one IE window is open. Wondering why... Lets see how the final version behaves..

I have the feeling that Microsoft has put so little effort in the web browser competition. The fact that IE is still the most used application is not because it is better, but just because the people who use it simply don't even know about other options, don't care, and wouldn't bother leaving the way it is.
But, with Opera winning the fight to allow customers to change the browser during OS installation (or setup maybe?), this may turn things more drastically to Microsoft.
